Singing

Many would think that singing Babershop would be something to keep in the closet, but I am really proud of the achievements that I have made in such an underrated genre.

I sing in a chorus called the Cheshire Chord Company who are a 40 strong group of amazingly talented women.  Sequins play a major part in our lives.

Singing with CCC has given me some amazing opportunities:

  • I own a European silver medal for our performance at the European championships in Eindhoven, Holland – its on a ribbon and everything.
  • We have won gold and silver at the Lady’s Association of British Barbershop Singers (LABBS) annual convention.
  • I have sung on the world famous London Palladium stage – and on a Sunday night
  • We have even sung with Wynne Evans, aka “Mr. Go Compare”

This is us singing at the Llangollen Eisteddfod

I have also been lucky enough to sing with my own Barbershop quartet who were ranked 4th in the UK for 3 years on the trot.  We arent singing together now as one of us moved as far north as she could possibly get – she told us it was nothing personal.  I miss it terribly!
